I knew going into this book that it was a short story, but I didn't expect it to be quite SO short. Though estimated to be 63 pages long, I think that's including the preview for the next book in the series because it only took me around 45 minutes to finish. The ending actually caught me off guard since my kindle was only at 68% and loc 596 of 872. While Dorinda and Percy (Dr. Worth) were both nice people, due to the limited page count there was no time for any real development of their characters or their relationship. Though I remember Percy from the previous book in the series, I can't recall much about him and this short story didn't help in that endeavor. There's one sex scene which was passionate but not overly long. In the end I liked the dialogue and banter between the couple, but the story was just too short to truly engage me. Ms. Jeffries is very talented, but it's hard to accomplish much with so little. If you're a fan of the series then I'd say give it a try, otherwise I'd skip it and stick to her full-length novels.

The men of the stories, sound like they are only thinking of one thing. The tease of other books, left me with not much care too read the others.Oil
This a quick read about overcoming a major stumbling block in the pursuit of love and happiness between the widowed Dorinda Nunley and Dr. Percy Worth. Percy has had a crush on Dorinda for months and finally gets the chance to spend time with her and woo her when Dorinda shows up at his office (sent by the matchmaking duchess) to help him unpack and organize it.

Spoiler...... Dorinda's first husband blamed her for her being barren and was generally not very nice to her, so she is not planning to marry again. Dr. Worth has his work cut out for him to overcome her fears. End spoiler.

I enjoyed this story for a fast, sweet diversion. It ends at about 70% on kindle, so it's about 50 pages long. If you enjoy short novellas, this one is good and does an excellent job with character development since it focusses entirely on Dorinda and Percy. There is an explicit scene, which will be good or bad depending on the reader.
I read a lot of Sabrina Jeffries so when I saw this short romance it sounded interesting. I was disappointed that the book was rushed and there was no character development between the H and H that needed to make this a WOW read.
I also thought the price of the book was too high because the books was way to short to make for a far more interesting read.
I really wish it were longer and would have more details and go a little farther into the future with this couple! They were great fun and it was a super book to read.
The main characters were fun to watch as they grew to realize their true feelings. It was a great escape from stress and worry.

I really hope Sabrina Jeffries finds some way to introduce this couple in a future book and let us know how they fared. YOU DO care about this couple and they seem very real.
Since he was going to be away all day Dorinda planned to spend the day organizing Dr. Percy Worth's medical office. She was surprised when he walked into the office mostly undressed. She was even more surprised when they spent the day talking, teasing and getting to know each other.

I love Sabrina Jeffries' books and this one did not disappoint. Although it is short the characters are well developed and the story was wonderful.

If you enjoy a good story you will love this book.
I really liked Dorinda and Percy. They have known each other for months and Percy has been wanting Dorinda for most of them.

Lisette slyly tells Dorinda that Percy will be out of town and asks her to go organize his office - knowing full well that Percy is home.

So Percy uses this time to convince Dorinda that they should be together. However Dorinda has some deep seated issues and doesn't want to be married again - especially to a doctor.

The story has a HEA and is a very feel good type of book.

A great story about a widow and a doctor who has been admiring her but isn't sure of her feelings. After being set up, Dorinda goes to the doctor's office to organize his office, to discover he is there when he should have been away. They start to organize his office together and realize how much they have in common. A great romantic story.
